We consider “education, environment, and Social Welfare” to be the three pillars of social contribution activities, and currently, we are continuing activities for each theme.
Contributing to Education
We are supporting elementary schools in the Komoro city for educational development. In 2019, we donated 50 educational overhead cameras to the elementary schools and received an award.
We provide various educational support services such as lectures at universities and research institutions and manufacturing classes at elementary schools.
Contributing to Environment
In collaboration with the environmental protection of Komoro City, we sincerely participate in environmental volunteer activities and support NPOs.
Participated in “Stopping Arechiuri Volunteer” sponsored by Komoro City Commerce and Industry Tourism Division. Arechiuri (Sicyos angulatus) is designated as an invasive species, due to its vigorous growth, it damages the ecosystem, adversely affecting native plants and animals. On the day of the event, we cleared the Komoro-shi Kaikoen bank and sweated with the volunteers in the city.
Contributing to Social Welfare
Supporting the activities of social welfare in the Toshin area of Nagano Prefecture (Saku and Kamiko area), we support facilities for people with intellectual disabilities.
Contributing to Employment
Since the establishment of our local subsidiary in 1997, we have continued production activities rooted in India. Currently, we employ more than 1,500 local staff members at this plant with 24 hours non-stop operation.
In the suburbs of Ambernath, where the Indian factory is located, we provided tools for making bamboo products to 30 families in the Dhamodi area to create employment for the community.
Contributing to Education
Establishment of Japanese style manufacturing school(Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing:JIM)
By teaching Indian youths about Japanese-style discipline and manufacturing skills, The Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) support the advancement of Japanese companies to contribute to “Make in India” and “Skill India” advocated by Prime Minister Modi.
We in ASB are contributing in Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM)” program for securing excellent human resources in the region. We opened “ASBI-JIM” in our factory in 2019 to support the policy. Currently, 40 young people selected from neighboring ITI (Industrial Training Institutes) are enrolled as first-year students to study discipline, etiquette, and ASB-style manufacturing technology every day.
We are connecting and supporting various schools in the suburbs of Ambernath to improve their educational facilities and environment.
Contributing to Environment
We support tree-planting and flood control activities in the suburbs of Ambernath City to help build a community where residents can live with peace of mind.
Contributing to Social Welfare
At some places in Ambernath, the residents need to carry water for hours from the river because of water shortages. We helped them by to a Water Lifting Project and arrangement of safe drinking water for community development at Mokadaha-Dhamodi & Chikenpada.
We also provided solar panels for a community in the suburbs of Ambernath who suffer from a power shortage.
